ARO®, a global manufacturer of products for the management of fluids in industrial operations and a brand of Ingersoll Rand®, will showcase a variety of pumping solutions, ranging from air operated diaphragm pumps to piston pumps, and filters, regulators and lubricators (FRLs), at Stand L37 in Hall 8 of the ACHEMA World Forum 2018 in Frankfurt am Main.
With a legacy of premier product performance and service excellence that has lasted more than 85 years, the fluid intelligence experts at ARO develop pumping solutions for customers in the chemical, manufacturing, construction, mining and marine sectors, among others.

At ACHEMA, ARO will present its line of EXP Series pumps that are process and automation ready. EXP Series pumps include electronic interface capability that eliminates potentially inaccurate manual processes and replaces them with more accurate, automated operation. Automated processes are ideal for batching and filling applications in a number of markets, such as chemical processing, paint and ink formulation, waste water and more. ARO EXP Series pumps integrate with the ARO Controller and other controllers and automation systems.

All EXP Series pumps also have connection points operators can use to upgrade their pump whenever their application needs change. Now users have the freedom to purchase a standard pump but retain the flexibility to enhance the pump with additional features in the future. The process ready upgrade options include:

·        an End of Stroke (EOS) output that signals the completion of each pump stroke and monitors the number of cycles

·        leak detection capabilities to notify the operator when there is diaphragm failure

·        an electric solenoid pump control valve to effectively manage cycle rates and pump flow

ARO is expanding its portfolio of air operated diaphragm pumps and will present the new EXP Series 3-inch non-metallic diaphragm pump for the first time at ACHEMA 2018. Ideal for high volume transfer in industrial, chemical processing and water treatment applications, the EXP Series 3-inch pump can be more efficient against 2-inch models under certain operating conditions, and offers longer diaphragm life due to slower cycling. Additionally, the ARO® EXP Series 3-inch pump is compatible with harsh chemicals that require a gentler stroke to prevent damage to fluid that can happen with smaller capacity, high-pressure pumps.

A clean air supply is critical to the efficient operation of all air operated diaphragm pumps.
The ARO-Flo Series of FLRs and accessories on display at ACHEMA can now be used in hazardous locations that require ATEX compliance. These FRLs facilitate better air flow than almost any other air filtration device, choking less air during the air preparation process and better application outcomes.

Piston pumps are used for transfer, extrusion, coating and dispensing applications. ARO will showcase its versatile piston pumps that can be configured to match a variety of applications. ACHEMA attendees can also interact with ARO’s new online tools, including a back-pressure calculator on AROZone.com that measures the required pressure for pump processing. Visitors can also access new operation and maintenance videos from ARO that visually demonstrate proper piston pump procedures.

At ACHEMA, ARO fluid intelligence experts will host live demonstrations of these pump and debut virtual reality product experiences animated app that allows customers to see inside ARO air-operated diaphragm and piston pumps as they operate. Through the new ARO Product Park app, customers can interact with these ARO pumps in a way that that’s never been done before.
